Brossard

Brossard is located on the east bank of the St. Lawrence River, practically directly opposite Montreal. Brossard is part of the Longueuil metropolitan region, but it has been its own city since 1958.

Its origins go back considerably further, as seen by the 18th and 19th century mansions that line Chemin des Prairies and Rue Sénécal. Because it is mostly a residential suburb, houses and different residences may be found in practically every region of the city.

Brossard is divided into 16 parts, with section R being one of the city’s oldest districts. Because it is located near the coastline, it is a popular place to call home.

Meanwhile, with its new developments and spectacular vistas, sector S is the most wealthy and attractive area in the neighborhood. Most Brossard locals will also agree that area L is indeed very vibrant, as it is home to Quartier DIX30, a lifestyle center with stores, restaurants, nightlife, and a sports complex. Section N is also considered the city center, along with section L.

Brossard has evolved significantly in recent years. It has been forced to adapt to the changing realities of the twenty-first century as a result of this demographic, economic, and social change. Brossard is unmistakably a metropolitan city, modern and international. A naturally festive city with a wide range of sports, recreational, cultural, and tourism activities for residents and tourists. It is notable for its brand new aquatic complex, which is a one-of-a-kind and fully accessible facility, as well as the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) project, a major public transportation project that will allow Brossard residents to travel to downtown Montreal in just a few minutes by car from one of three stations set to be built in Brossard by 2022.

Brossard has a population of 91,525 people according to the census of 2021.
