Located in eastern Canada, in the province of Québec, is the small city of Candiac. It is a highly educated region with little under 22,000 people living there. Louis-Joseph de Montcalm, a French soldier and explorer, was born in this city, which adopted his name when it was officially formed. The city’s location is ideal seeing as it is on the southern bank of the St. Laurence River.
