Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is a city in Montérégie in southwestern Quebec, Canada. 

It is located on Grande-Île, an island in the Saint Lawrence River, and is bounded on the west by Lake Saint Francis, on the north by the Saint Lawrence River, and on the south by the Beauharnois Canal. Valleyfield’s Port is located on the canal. 

 It was reported in the year 2019 that the population was approximately 42,410. 

Downtown Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is quite remarkable, with its promenade along the Old Beauharnois Canal, the spectacular bay of Lake Saint-François, its central park, business lanes, and gourmet tables and counters.

Get out of the city for a relaxing break in nature at Parc régional des Îles de-Saint-Timothée, a magical location. The sandy beach here welcomes you to make sandcastles, play volleyball, or take a nap before going for a dip in the clear waters.

Simply rent a canoe, kayak, pedal boat, or paddle from the marine shack immediately on the beach to explore the basin and its islands. Hungry? A restaurant is available on the grounds.
