Saint-Lambert

Saint-Lambert is a city in southwest Quebec, Canada. It is located on the Saint Lawrence River’s south shore, across from the city of Montreal. It is a part of the Montérégie region.

The Préville neighborhood and the old city of Saint-Lambert are the two main sections of the city. The original Saint-Lambert spans from the Le Vieux-Longueuil borough boundary to the Country Club of Montreal golf course. It includes “The Village,” the city’s central business district. The former city of Préville, which merged with Saint-Lambert in 1969, is located on the other side of the Country Club of Montreal. It reaches the limits of Brossard and the Greenfield Park area of Longueuil.

Saint-Lambert is an established city whose land is almost completely developed. 95% of the buildings on its land are homes, making it mostly a residential neighborhood.

Lambert Closse, an early French-Canadian hunter, is honored with the name of the city Saint-Lambert.
