Châteauguay

Châteauguay is a suburb of Montreal that is located outside the island along the shore of Lac St-Louis and is part of the Roussillon Regional County Municipality. Châteauguay was essential in the colonization of North America, protecting Montreal from the arrival of Americans. It became a town in 1855, and a full-fledged city in 1975. Chateauguay is now a prosperous city with lovely residences, industrial regions, and an incredibly vibrant downtown area.
