Repentigny

Repentigny is a neighborhood located between the Saint Lawrence and the L’Assomption Rivers.  it is now the thirteenth-largest city in Quebec.  In the year 2002, it merged with neighboring Le Gardeur, which resulted in a population rise of almost 70%.

The city was reported to have a population of approximately 87,645 residents, most of whom commute to Montreal for work.

The Le Gardeur and Charles-De Gaulle bridges connect Repentigny to Montreal, and commuter rail connects it to its Central Station. For individuals who don’t want to live in Montreal but still want to be close enough to enjoy its culture, nightlife, and attractions, this makes it an appealing city.

Repentigny and a few other communities are thought to have been among the first settlements in Lanaudière.
