Saint-Jérôme

Saint-Jérôme is the capital of the MRC of La Rivière-du-Nord, in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada. The towns of Bellefeuille, Lafontaine, Saint-Antoine, and the old town of Saint-Jérôme were merged to form it in 2002.

It is approximately 45 kilometers northwest of Montreal. The inhabitants of Saint-Jérôme are called Jérômiens. With more than 75,000 residents, Saint-Jérôme now holds the 14th-highest population among Quebec’s cities. In terms of population, it is the Laurentians region’s largest municipality.

The city of Saint-Jérôme, which is south of the Laurentians, draws more and more young families and professionals looking for a calm spot to settle each year. Saint-Jérôme is home to many great schools such as École Notre-Dame, École Sainte-Paule, École Secondaire Cap-Jeunesse and École Secondaire Émilien-Frenette.
