Magog
The Canadian city of Magog is located in southeast Quebec, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) east of Montreal. It is located where the Rivière aux Cerises and the Magog River intersect Lake Memphremagog, after which the city was named. In the Regional County Municipality of Memphremagog, it serves as a significant hub, industrial city and can be found among the popular Eastern Townships.
The City of Magog, the Township of Magog, and the Village of Omerville were combined in 2002 as part of the municipal reorganization in Quebec.
The city of Magog has a truly wonderful setting and the reputation of being a popular tourist destination, with Lake Memphremagog as a landscape, established in a region surrounded by mountains, and its vibrant downtown area.

Magog is located at the northernmost point of Lake Memphremagog, a lengthy and narrow freshwater glacial lake that crosses both the Canadian province of Quebec and the American state of Vermont.
Lake Memphremagog, regarded as a beauty of the Eastern Townships, was first used as a canoe route across the area but by the 19th century had become a prestigious holiday spot. Along its shoreline are numerous resorts and vacation cottages.
The Parc de la Baie-de-Magog, which contains trails, beaches, and water, is a great place to start your visit. When the lake’s water is warm enough, which is often by mid-June, you can swim!

Mark the TriMemphré and the Fête des Vendanges Magog-Orford on your calendar among the many other events because they gather huge audiences in Magog. Many B&Bs and inns will invite you to try the gliding activities available at the Mont-Orford ski area, the skating route beside the lake, or the Parc national du Mont-Orford during the winter.
- International Museum of Naïve Art
This is the only museum in Canada that showcases and exhibits naive art. Many of the artists on display are from Quebec, but there are also works by sculptors and painters from other countries, providing a truly international perspective on this captivating style of art.
Traditional artistic norms and regulations have no bearing on naive art. It can be characterized as having a childlike rendering because it is basic and frequently colorful.

The Marais de la Riviere aux Cerises is a region of woodlands, marsh, and bog that is only a few steps from the center of Magog and contains an impressive network of routes that is rich in biodiversity.
Winding across a variety of terrain are wooden footbridges, boardwalks, and woodland pathways, each with its own distinct natural beauty. This is heaven for birders!
